Below is a step by step instructions on how a group alarm is typically used.
Step 1: You can create a group alarm for a group or a set of contacts. Make it a repeating alarm based on your requirements, if so desired. Say you chose an alarm that rings Monday - Friday at 9AM. The alarm will go off each day at 9AM for all the people that you selected. Note that the app supports various repetitions such as hourly, weekly, monthly etc.
Step 2: As soon as you create an alarm, all the participants will get a notification asking them to accept or decline the alarm. If they accept the alarm, the alarm will ring for them and you will see a green check on their avatar. If they decline the alarm, the alarm will not ring for them and you will see the red cross on their avatar. If they have not responded, you will see a question mark. In this case, the alarm will ring for them unless they have disabled "Settings->Always Ring Alarms From Others".
Step 3: When you click on the group alarm, you will see the list of participants. A single gray checkmark means that the alarm invitation was sent, but has not yet been delivered to the participant. This could be because the user might be offline at this point. A double gray checkmark means that the alarm has been delivered but not yet seen by the participant. A double blue checkmark means that the alarm has been seen by the participant.
Step 4: Say it is 9AM on Monday, the alarm will go off for all participants with the choice to Confirm or Decline participation for that particular instance of the alarm. As soon as a participant Confirms or declines, all the other participants will get a notification. In order to see a summary of all the responses, you can tap on the group alarm of interest and look at the participant list. A green thumbs up in front of the participant means that the participant has confirmed their participation for this instance of the alarm. A red thumbs down means that the participant has declined participation for this instance of the alarm.
Step 5: Say it is 9AM on Tuesday now. The alarm will go off for all the participants and they will again Confirm or Decline that instance. The previous Confirm and Decline statuses for the 9 AM Monday occurrences have been reset now and you will see who confirmed/declined the alarm for 9 AM Tuesday occurrence.
Note that a standard user can have at most one group alarm they created at any given time. A premium user can have unlimited group alarms. Note that group alarms will ring on participant phones regardless of whether they are premium or standard users.
